There is always a variety of cases, from ambulatory surgery and neurology cases to therapeutic endoscopy and electrophysiology. New CRNAs to Johns Hopkins participate in a structured orientation process which includes online departmental training followed by a comprehensive clinical rotation through anesthesia. CRNAs participate in cases including but not limited to interventional cardiology and radiology, neurosurgery, orthopedics, colorectal surgery, plastic surgery, interventional and therapeutic endoscopy, pediatric anesthesia, trauma surgery, and ambulatory surgical specialties. CRNAs at Johns Hopkins Hospital (JHH) enjoy flexible scheduling with the option for several different shifts, including 10, 12, 14, and 16 hour shifts. CRNAs do not work night shifts, call shifts, holidays, or weekend shifts at JHH.
